Hey, lovely reader. I’m Evie Drae—award-winning author, contest junkie, lover of heat-soaked romance, and your trusty narrator of messy emotions and happily ever afters. For years, I poured my heart into writing LGBTQ+ contemporary romance, and what a wild ride it’s been—three published books, seven RWA contest wins, a Best of the Best title, and a #1 Amazon bestseller banner in multiple categories (I’m still pinching myself).

Then life did what life does—it got messy. Complicated. And somewhere in the chaos, my writing spark dimmed. I stepped away, unsure if I’d ever find my way back.

But passion has a funny way of creeping in when you least expect it. For me, it came in the form of an epic sci-fi fantasy romance universe I’ve been quietly dreaming about for over a decade. That world, and the soul-deep love stories buried in its stars, rekindled something in me. So much so, that I’ve decided to dive in headfirst—and I’m doing it under my real name: Stevie Rae Diehl.

So what does that mean for Evie Drae?

Not a goodbye. Just a see you later. I’m not done writing queer romance—I’m just taking a detour to follow the cosmic chaos where it leads.
